Flume Repair - Bond Testing

This elevated flume crossing had experienced deterioration over its 100-year service life. VL Engineers performed a comprehensive concrete condition assessment, including visual inspection, delamination surveys, surface penetrating radar, concrete coring, and laboratory testing to evaluate deterioration mechanisms and material properties. Following the assessment, VL supported repair strategies and performed tensile bond tests in accordance with ASTM C1583 to evaluate prepared substrates and verify the quality and bond of completed concrete repairs.
