Spillways Assessment

The client manages seven reservoirs to capture and store about 30 billion gallons of water. The associated dams, spillways, and pump structures are regularly inspected by engineers and maintenance.

Voss Labs performed concrete condition assessment of three separate spillways. Testing included surface penetrating radar scanning, concrete core extraction, and borescope surveys of the underlying subgrade.

Laboratory tests of cores included compressive strength, pulse velocity, unit weight, and petrographic analysis.
